For over two decades, I have witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by women in the sex trade, particularly in the northern regions of India. Driven by a deep-rooted commitment to social justice, I founded Azaad Titliyan, a network of community-based organizations dedicated to empowering female sex workers.

The journey began with a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by these women. Despite serving a diverse clientele, sex workers are often stigmatized and ostracized, denied basic human rights and access to essential services. The discrimination they face creates insurmountable barriers to healthcare, housing, and education, further marginalizing them.

The COVID-19 pandemic amplified these challenges, as lockdowns and restrictions threatened the very means of survival for many sex workers. Azaad Titliyan stepped in to provide critical support, offering safe sex education, livelihood opportunities, and legal assistance.

"My journey began with a deep-rooted passion for advocating for the rights of female sex workers."

My vision for Azaad Titliyan was to create a sustainable and impactful network that could serve as a collective voice for all sex workers. The organization's mission is to empower these women by providing them with the tools and resources they need to lead safe, dignified, and fulfilling lives.

Through its network of CBOs, Azaad Titliyan has been instrumental in addressing the pressing needs of female sex workers in underserved areas. By providing comprehensive support and advocating for their rights, the organization has become a beacon of hope for countless women trapped in the sex trade.

As I continues to lead Azaad Titliyan, the organization remains committed to its mission of empowering female sex workers and building a more just and equitable society.
